Jack in Original Earth
Jack was an urban legend for most, a white monster that patrolled the mean streets of St. Louis killing criminals and mobsters as he found them. Then in mid 2008 something changed and Jack began leaving survivors. The once merciless killer began taking time off of his personal crusades to break up crimes in progress and rescue innocent civilians from mugging and the like. With the rapidly increasing witness count, Jack's fame spread like the plague. Newspapers began printing sightings of Jack on the front pages, and the police set aside an entire task force to hunting him down and arresting him.
In the months before he was transported to Alternate Earth, Jack was taking an active interest in the growing superhuman community and was looking for ways to unite them and keep their lives free from oppression and interference.
Jack in Alternate Earth
This new world has not been kind to Jack so far, and the feeling is mutual. Soon after arriving in the new Earth, Jack left to make his own way and went underground. He has been seeking to help other supers into hiding and generally desires to reduce the conflict in the city.
During the Apocalypse, Jack attempted to defeat Demon Tsunami on his own and was easily defeated. When his body was recovered though, it was found to be that of a fairly average young man in his mid 20's. After quickly being healed, the man awoke and introduced himself as Will. He was not aware of how he had gotten there or what he had been doing before he was woken. When a dislocated shoulder suddenly popped back into place, Will instantly transformed into Jack.
The Jack native to this world had been working independently since 2006, tearing a horrible bloody swathe of destruction through the city's organized crime as well as the military garrison. In the summer of 2008, the military finally surrounded Jack and attacked with everything they had. In a final barrage from the surviving tanks, Jack was killed and his body shrank to that of a normal human. The body was found to be that of a middle-aged Asian woman who was a resident of St. Louis, and later research revealed her to have had no supernatural abilities at all.
Physical Description
Jack is an immense man with a heavy build and stark white skin. He has long metallic silver hair that hangs down past his shoulders. At all times he is wearing a heavy white leather trench coat, a white fedora hat, and a black mask with a skull motif.
When Jack uses his powers, he undergoes a physical change, bonding with his clothing and turning it into his flesh. His mask sinks into his skin and becomes his new face. He sprouts ivory ram horns and his hair stiffens into a mane. A visible aura of malice surrounds him, and his intentions are obvious to any who observe him.
When he fully activates his powers his hands and horns are wreathed in flame, and he smells strongly of brimstone. Those who are in his presence while he is in this form experience a supernatural fear that sends all but the most strong willed humans running in terror. When in this state, all sentient beings nearby or within line of sight are instantly aware of Jack's presence and his general location.
Powers
Jack's dominant powers are his immense strength and durability. At his best he is nigh invincible and can easily bend steel. His body and clothing are able to shift and morph into various weapons and tools, even to form long chains or wings that can carry his weight. He is able to leap to incredible heights and travel great distances at speed. He is able to regenerate most injuries within an hour, and can even repair damage to his clothing.
